Residents have direct and affordable access to excellent education and training opportunities, local jobs and support services. Neighborhood amenities are connected by a system of improved sidewalks, bicycle routes and tree-lined streets. The West Ward’s cherished parks and open spaces host many of the community’s unique events and art installations that draw visitors and showcase local creativity. In a neighborhood that champions diversity, equality and inclusion, residents are fully engaged and invested in the well-being of the community. Residents of all colors, backgrounds, cultures, ages, faiths and incomes are proud to call the West Ward home and work together to make it a neighborhood of choice. West Ward Programs Community Gardens Park Program Lights On Upcoming Events The WWCI is coordinated by the Greater Easton Development Partnership (GEDP) , the nonprofit organization that includes the Easton Main Street Initiative , Easton Ambassadors , Easton Farmers’ Market , Easton Public Market and PA Bacon Fest . Core support for the WWCI is provided by the Neighborhood Assistance Tax Credit Program (NAP) from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (PA DCED). These efforts would not be possible without the financial commitment from our corporate tax credit partners: Lafayette Ambassador Bank, Peoples Security Bank & Trust, PNC Bank and HM Life Insurance Co., a Highmark company.
